The 9 year old and I have a tradition of making different ornaments every Christmas. Previous years we made salt dough ornaments and pipe cleaner snow flakes (these are my favorite for very small children).

This year we decided to paint wooden ornaments. We bought some inexpensive wooden shapes from AC Moore, and set out the paint. The Baby got into the action with a few shapes and the crayons. Bubby and I set to work with paint and paint brushes.

The ornaments were supposed to be Grandparents gifts, however, Bubby decided that he would rather keep them for our tree and we can make different ornaments for the Grandparents.

This is one of my favorite traditions. I believe that I have the best tree because it’s covered in ornaments made by my children.
